KWCA announces 2024 awards

For the next few minutes, Philadelphia is sharing the title of being the City of Brotherly Love with Salina. 

The Sacred Heart boys basketball team features not one, not two, but a zany three sets of brothers on the Knights’ roster on MaxPreps. The Knights, 20-3, face Erie at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Class 2A State Tournament in Dodge City.

NFF scholarship applications due March 8th

The deadline for application for the Coach Bill Snyder Family/Sunflower Chapter of the National Football Foundation scholarship is rapidly approaching.

Graduating high school seniors in Kansas who competed in football in the fall of 2023 are eligible if they have achieved a cumulative 3.0 GPA. The deadline to apply is March 8. Apply online through the following link: https://form.jotform.com/233306615261045

Wrestlers selected for Kansas Shrine Duals

The Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association (KWCA) has announced the high school senior wrestlers who have accepted their invitation to take the mat in the inaugural KWCA Kansas Shrine Duals.  The wrestlers who were selected, and accepted their invitation, will compete during the KWCA Kansas Shrine Duals on Sunday, March 17th, 2024 at Fugate Gymnasium on the campus of Newman University in Wichita, Kansas. Gates open at 2:30 pm and the opening ceremonies will begin at 3:15 pm.
