No shortage of basketball talent at Circle

The Circle High School boys basketball team accomplished something they had not done since 2013 — beat AVCTL DIII foe McPherson.  There are very few similarities between Circle’s win seven years ago and their win Friday, Feb. 15.

Dewey continues prolific scoring pace

Kansas Pregame Winter Covergirl Aubree Dewey, a junior for the Plainville Cardinals, heaved up 3/4 court bomb to close out the third quarter of Tuesday night's game with Trego, and much like the rest of the shots she puts up, it went in, giving the Cardinals a 25-24 lead.

Alexanders once again leading McPherson Bullpups

McPherson High School sophomore starting point guard Max Alexander doesn't flinch in big moments. It was his go-ahead 3-pointer on Dec. 11 at Buhler with 20 seconds left that gave the Bullpups a 54-51 win to avoid an extremely uncharacteristic 0-4 start to the season.

Ryan "steals" the show

If you haven't heard of Central Plains junior Emily Ryan by now, you probably don't follow Kansas sports at all. Likely the state's top basketball player, Ryan puts up staggering scoring numbers nightly for an Oiler team that is shooting for a sixth consecutive state title.
