The state of Kansas crowned wrestling champions Feb. 27-29. The action started Thursday with the first ever girls KSHSAA All-Class State Championship in Salina.

Girls wrestling set to take center stage in Salina

Tony’s Pizza Events Center in Salina is set to host the first KSHSAA Girls Wrestling State Championship on Thursday.

Wrestlers from across Kansas will attempt to punch their ticket to State at this weekend's Regional tournaments.

Regional wrestling tournaments kicked off across Kansas Friday afternoon and continue Saturday with hundreds of wrestlers battling for a coveted trip to the state tournament.
