Blue Valley North quarterback Graham Mertz was amongst the highest ranked recruits the state of Kansas has ever seen, leading the Mustangs to consecutive 6A title games including a championship in 2017. Pratt's Travis Theis spent four years as one of the most productive runners in Kansas high school history leading the Greenbacks to title games in 2016 and last fall including a championship in his sophomore year and a one-point decision to Sabetha in November.
