Kansas Pregame polled 8-Man coaches in December who voted for the top four seniors they coached against this season. Kansas Pregame staffers then used those votes to develop a Top 8 list of seniors for each division. Check out several more Top 8 capsules below, and find the complete list of Top 8 selections, and the honorable mention list, here for 8-Man I and here for 8-Man II

Hanover senior tight end and defensive end Camron Jueneman capped a stellar career as a key figure in one of the Wildcats’ most successful eras. Hanover finished the 2024 season 8-2, advancing to the second round of the 8-Man Division II playoffs before falling to Burlingame. The Wildcats also finished second in the competitive Twin Valley League behind only four-time state champion Axtell.

“Camron is a quiet kid that finds ways by example to signify what leadership is with his teammates,” Hanover head coach Matt Heuer said. “His work ethic, drive, and motor to be successful were evident day in and day out both during the season and the offseason. His business-like attitude and approach were clear in the way he came to practice as well as how he attacked each play. His ‘play until the end of each play’ mentality was both clear and evident as he continuously ran plays down from the backside.”

On offense in 2024, Jueneman tallied 16 receptions for 336 yards, averaging 21 yards per catch, and scored nine receiving touchdowns. On defense, he delivered 84 total tackles (44 solo), 15 tackles for loss, nine sacks, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries. His ability to influence the game in all phases stood out week after week.

“There are multiple plays that come to mind that would personify Camron as a player,” Heuer said. “But one that probably sticks with me is in the fourth quarter against Frankfort on a fourth-down play. He was able to get inside pressure to flush the quarterback to his left. Changing direction, he continued pursuit and reapplied pressure on the sideline where the talented quarterback made him miss. Again, Camron adjusted, caught up once again, and tackled the quarterback after a minimal gain, resulting in a possession change. That to me signifies what he brought as a player with his athleticism and relentless pursuit of each play.”

Over his career, Jueneman accumulated 67 receptions for 1,454 yards (21.7 yards per catch) and 26 receiving touchdowns. Defensively, he posted 102 solo tackles, 108 assisted tackles, 34 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, and three forced fumbles.

“Camron has many strengths as a player, but his strength, athleticism, and coachability really pair well with his relentless motor to make him a force on both sides of the ball,” Heuer said. “He always showed flexibility in playing different positions over the years, and that was a tremendous asset to us in filling many roles. This year, however, being locked in as strictly a defensive end and tight end really helped him develop and take his game to the next level.”

In addition to football, Jueneman is a standout multi-sport athlete. He is a starter and strong contributor to Hanover’s currently sixth-ranked basketball team and was a state track medalist in the triple jump last spring.

Off the field, he excelled academically as a member of the National Honor Society, FFA, and FBLA, and he was recognized with the Fairbury Elks Lodge Student Award.

Jueneman’s postseason accolades include being named the Sports in Kansas 8-Man Division II Defensive Player of the Year finalist and earning 2024 All-State First Team honors.

After graduation, Jueneman plans to attend Southeast Community College in Milford, Nebraska, to pursue a degree in Diesel Equipment Technology and gain hands-on experience working with heavy machinery. His long-term goal is to return to the Hanover area and work alongside his father in land conservation.
